Dental crowns have traditionally required two appointments to complete. However, thanks to CEREC one-visit restoration technology, we can design, create and place your crown in a single visit. CEREC uses state-of-the-art CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) technology, which combines advanced 3D scanning and digital impressions to create a model of your teeth and mouth from which your crowns can be created. The process for a same-day crown is simple:

  • Our dentists will clean your teeth thoroughly, removing weakened, decayed or broken tooth material.
  • A digital picture will be captured of your mouth
  • The photo will be converted into a 3D model
  • Your crown will be designed from that model to fit your teeth and smile perfectly
  • The crown will be milled from a block of tooth-colored material

In just a few minutes, your crown will be completed and our dentists will check that it fits properly before bonding it in place.
